| Hello awesome people on this awesome day Thank you to ALL FRIENDS AND ACQUINTANCES WHO WISHED ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I sure felt today! Wanted to go shopping, but ended up window shopping so I told my mom "better prepare for next year ok, because I'm going to spend like crazy, to make up for this year's loss!" But of course, this kind of thing I do not mean when I say it. The thought of camping in malls for hours next year after my Os to belatedly celebrate my birthday and freedom at the same time is very very appetizing. Pardon my English because I also become incoherent when I am thinking of what great shopping I could do! Reminder to self: Shop at Suntec City's pushcarts instead of stores that I can find in Orchard Road! The stuff that I can find are really cool, like cute little perfume bottles that have the thing you can squeeze to spray out little droplets of perfume! They are so retro and feminine and very affordable as well. Fruitful day in terms of finding potential good buys! The greatest highlight of the day, was hearing the voice of Auntie Esther right before tuition (had to say bye right after because my tutor appeared, but I called back when it ended). She's been back in Philippines for about 3 months now, and I'm getting used to her absence, but only because the calls we make still carry such warm fuzzy feelings in the tone and caring demeanour. I told her of the fruitful (pun intended ) banana trees (2 of em!) that have both produced juicy looking bunches of beauuuutifullll bananas. The previous (and first!) time a tree had bananas, Auntie personally chopped the whole bunch off with great skillz . The bananas were given to visiting relatives that came over from Malaysia and Australia for post-Grandma's-80th-birthday-dinner-lunch and they all loved the bananas! They can't wait for the next 2 bunches to ripen! I'm glad I fought to keep the beautiful banana trees when Mom, in a moment of pure rashness and pms-ness, insisted on chopping them away for no rhyme or reason She sounded so chirpy and full of vigour and she explained that it's because she has finished another round of chemotherapy and just feels stronger with every passing day! I'm so glad she's this positive and such optimistic vibes are a blessing in my life. She said she would love to come back to work for us again, even if just for one year. I know it's highly unlikely. She's getting quite old, but maybe next time when I have my own gang of naughty little monkeys (aka children ) I'll bring them on some crazy road trip (and of course the hubby isn't spared too) to go visit my 'Second Mom' and tell them this is your 'Second Grandma' because Auntie has shaped me into who I am today and I would love to give her recognition for that.
Okay I sound so motherly right now I feel awkward haha. Anyway I'm FIFTEEN and feeling so so so blessed. I hope God will have continue having a great influence over me and remind me of such good feelings whenever I am down. There's always a silver lining and a reminder from Him will always make it better Thanks to every single friend (I HAVE NO IDEA HAVE I THANKED ALREADY?) who has wished me a happy birthday (once again) and I hope my special day has been special for all of you as well.
God Bless, Yiann
P.S. Saw a monitor (according to Joel) lizard in my neighbour's drain biting onto another yellow colour mini monitor lizard to suffocate it and bbq it for lunch today. My smartass dog led me to it, perfect birthday present. Thanks Charlie. It scared the wits out of me and I just froze till I heard my Dad nearby and kinda yelped for his assistance. The lizard(s) however kindly made their way into hiding when my Dad arrived Smartass lizard(s) I must say. Anyway I also MUST SAY that it's never the same watching an animal suffocate another of its smaller versions as a meal in real life as compared to watching it on Animal Planet. TRAUMMAAA and DISTURBIAAA.
| My mother, is getting on my nerves. I am trying very hard not to scream at her or just glare. I mean seriously she has to learn to trust someone that is already 15 years old (or least in 2 days)! Today was quite a boring day. Lectures that were exceptionally long and teachers that nagged like there was a serious shortage of grandmothers in this world. No offence, I love my grandmother so so much, but cannot stand those who pretend to be wise and sagely when their golden years have not approached.
Surprise surprise, SAKAE SUSHI'S CEO CAME TO GIVE US A TALK TODAYYYYY At certain points I couldn't help but feel so blessed to be in my school, which is pretty ironic considering all the lamenting I've been doing thus far. SAKAE SUSHI IS DEFINITELY MY GO-TO PLACE FOR SHUSHI whenever I hear the word SUSHIIII. Basically, it's synonymous with sushi. So yes, Mr Douglas Foo, your company has achieved its goal, as far as I'm concerned Ok I am feeling very greedy now because dinner's just in a few minutes.
Today during Chemistry and Literature lectures, the teachers went more in-depth into our papers and I felt so enlightened I'm serioussss. I felt so stupid for whatever blindness I was experiencing during my revision. Anyhow, the past is the past and I shall MOVEEE ONNNN
Countdown to 'O' Level Chinese Papers
(dread)/ (shock)/ (soon to be free): 14 MORE DAYS EVERYONE. BUCK UP!
Saw this poem on Kai Xin's blog quite some time ago and decided I just must share this with whoever actually reads my quaint blog This could actually make you (and hopefully me as well) fall in love with poetry/literature in general. In an effort to get people to look into each other's eyes more, and also to appease the mutes, the government has decided to allot each person exactly one hundred and sixty-seven words, per day.
When the phone rings, I put it to my ear without saying hello. In the restaurant I point at chicken noodle soup. I am adjusting well to the new way.
Late at night, I call my long distance lover, proudly say I only used fifty-nine today. I saved the rest for you.
When she doesn't respond, I know she's used up all her words, so I slowly whisper I love you thirty-two and a third times. After that, we just sit on the line and listen to each other breathe.

| Can somebody tell me why I am so freaking tired after exams, when it's only 9.30pm at night right now. Please do not suggest that studying gives me energy or that Choir is actually really really tiring (I do know that already, no need for reminders ).
Yea, in case it interests you, I dozed off in front of the computer. THE COMPUTER, THE most happening place at home. Aweeesome On a brighter note, SWIMMING TOMORROW WHOOOOOOOOOOO~! (Oh and it's after some Choir thing again. God forbid that I actually fall asleep in the pool, without a huge float underneath me.)
GOODNIGHT WORLD, I am exhausted.
| HELLO I AM BACK JUST TO EXCLAIM TO THE WHOLE WORLD MY EXAMS ENDED YESTERDAY
Xanga's layout confuses me so I failed miserably in changing my skin! I'm back to square one, still stuck to this kiddy skin. I can't wait to get help for the colourful one I like though
Oh and I had planned to go buy ingredients for macarons, when I realised I don't have nice machines to help me mix the mix. Ok yea so I'm just sitting here rotting away with no aim whatsoever! Marking days can be quite a pain sometimes It's the only time I feel quite useless though I get to catch up a lot on socialising. Don't think this mad of me, but I MISS STUDYING! Anyhow, after the English Paper 2 yesterday Josie, Pei Wen, Deborah, Shirley and I hopped onto 700 and made our way to Plazaa Singgg. Then I realised I left my shoe bag in school. Right at the same place where I left my bottle on Friday to rot over the weekend due to my forgetfulness! I was like thinking, this can't be happening man. Told Shirley about my dodo-ness and she kindly agreed to go back to school with me to retrieve my shoebag in distress. Thanks soooo much for tolerating with my serious case of blindness, heh So then we got tickets to THE HOUSE BUNNY! Saw quite a few familiar SC faces in the cinema. We made quite an entrance though, cause some annoying woman was sitting on one of our seats and we had to 'chase' her away pretty quickly cause we were late already. But apparently the movie started 20 mins later than scheduled so we were a lucky bunch The show was quite cute and everything, and it wasn't as bimbotic as it was made to seem over radio advertisements. In fact some parts were so touching I teared. No one else did but I did and I'm fine with that cause it proves I actually have a great amount of emotions that are not enough to label me 'emo' but sensitive So we went walking around looking at the shops after that. Shopping wasn't very fun, mainly because I was too tired to focus on anything. I made a resolution, never to make a guy wait for me while shopping. Especially not to make my boyfriend carry my handbag. I just find those things women do quite peculiar and annoying somehow. Yesterday 3 of us had to wait while 2 of us went to try on clothes. The wait was quite unbearable because of the loud music and the tiredness building up inside me. I think next time I will not drag my boyfriend to shop with me, I'll just simply shop myself. Watching Channel 8 dramas that involve girls dragging guys along for shopping trips makes me feel sad for the men as well, I have NO idea why haha. Oh and I also went to watch the F1 race, though I didn't manage to take any pictures of me with my COOL BLACK-STRING PASS We got a seat at one of the bends which didn't make for an exciting view, but I'm glad we didn't sit where the cars could just accelerate up to their max, because the engines' roars would have made me faint. I tried taking out my ear plugs at the bend to see how loud it really was and I regretted it BIG TIME. My ears were like BOOM. Nonetheless, the experience was AWE-SOME PO-SOME. I'm so glad Daddy had enough passion for it to actually queue for the 3-day passes!! THANKS SO MUCH DADDY OH and Daddy actually offered poor me, the damsel-in-distress, a taxi ride all the way home after the whole thing ended. Silly Ol Me decided to wear my new shoes and my feet got seasoned instead. My heels had some blister? I don't even know what they look like cause I've never really had one. My Mom and Bro didn't manage to get the taxi ride, I can't remember why but I feeeel speeeciallllll Oh did I mention the taxi fare was jumping at a precarious rate. I am the sort who will stare intently at the fare meter. I got kinda angry that they charged 5 bucks extra even though we queued and I thought that fare was only for those who called for one Well I was wrong but Dad didn't seem to care about the jams and expensive ride back. AHHH OVERALL I FELT BLESSED THOUGH my ears sure didn't. I hope Dad gets the Pit Grandstand passes next time, like maybe after my As, for the very last Grand Prix Night Race in Singapore!! I'll be the first to register my interest. Mom and Bro kinda disappointed Dad with the lack of interest and all, but I tried very very very hard to identify the drivers based on their helmets cause all their vehicles looked the same I think I did a goood job though I rooted for Hamilton and YAY HE CAME IN THIRD ON SUNDAY!! Sunday's race seemed less exciting than Saturday's cause it was soooo long. Oh well a blessing in disguise that I went on Saturday instead of Sunday! Ok, Dad just called to chase me off to com and to hit my Physics books (although the exams.are.over.). Finally, someone has initiated something purposeful I can do
